YOUR TRIAL DAY
What to expect
A trial class is just a normal class. Your child joins in with the other students, follows the teacher, and gets a real feel for what dance at KWDA is like.

Arrive 10 minutes early
Come to 58 Holdsworth Street, Coorparoo. We'll meet you in the foyer, show you around, and introduce your child to their teacher.

Join the class
Your child goes into the studio with their teacher and classmates. The teacher knows it's their first time and will make them feel welcome.

Dance!
They'll follow along with the class, learn some steps, and most importantly have fun. It's okay if they don't get everything right.

Chat with us after
After class, we'll check in with you and your child. No sales pitch. If they loved it, we'll talk about next steps. If not, no hard feelings.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Trial class FAQ
Yes, completely free with no obligation. You get one free trial per class style, so your child can try ballet one week and jazz the next if they'd like to explore.
Butterfly Ballet welcomes children from 18 months. Ballet, Jazz and Acro classes start from around age 4. Contemporary from age 8. There's no upper age limit and we welcome complete beginners at any age.
Absolutely. Most of our students started with zero experience. Our teachers are used to welcoming first-timers and will make sure your child feels comfortable and included from the moment they walk in.
Parents wait in the foyer during class. There are viewing windows in every studio door so you can see your child throughout the session.
Email dance@kwda.com.au or call 0427 149 117. Let us know your child's name, age, and which class style they'd like to try. We'll find the right class and confirm the details.
No problem at all. Not every child loves every style, and some take a few classes to settle in. If KWDA isn't the right fit, we'll tell you honestly. We'd rather your child find the right place than push a commitment that doesn't work.
