Every dancer's journey is different. Some of our students have gone on to professional careers. Others danced with us for years simply because it made them happy. Both matter equally to us.

These dancers started at KWDA as children, some as young as three. Today they perform on stages around the world. Their journeys are different, but they all began in the same place yours does.

Amy Ronnfeldt
KWDA student 2006 - 2017

Amy's ballet journey begun at age 4, taking her first ballet class at KWDA. Amy became a promising student completing her RAD Ballet exams from Primary to Advanced 1. Amy was a valued member of the KWDA Performance Teams for 7yrs and a successful soloist, winning many awards Nationally. Amy competed in the Alana Haines Awards, Jacqueline Morland Awards and Youth American Grand Prix before joining the Australian Ballet School fulltime at age 14.

Bronte Mollison
KWDA student 2010 – 2023

Bronte was a promising student from day one. Starting ballet at KWDA age 3, Bronte quickly joined the 6&under Performance team, advancing all the way to the 15&under team at KWDA. Bronte won many solo awards in her time at KWDA including Gold Medal Asian Grand Prix Finals. Bronte completed all her RAD exams from Primary to Advanced 2 with High Distinction and many of her ComDance Jazz exams at KWDA. Bronte joined the Australian Ballet School fulltime at age 15.

Sydney Merrilees

Sydney started ballet at age 5, quickly fell in love with ballet at KWDA. Taking classes in all styles of dance, Sydney thrived in the Performance Teams at KWDA. Sydney was a gifted child receiving many placements in elite training academies by audition. Sydney joined the Australian Ballet School fulltime at age 12. After graduating, received a contract to dance with the Semperoper Ballett as a Company Artist.

Abbey Haller
KWDA student 2005 – 2018

Abbey began at KWDA in Butterfly Ballet at age 3. She progressed through the RAD syllabus, achieving Distinction in every graded exam from Primary to Advanced 1. Abbey received many scholarships in her time at KWDA including to the esteemed Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Moscow at age 12. Abbey continued dancing fulltime in Brisbane before training in Germany. Abbey has also received a secondment to the Western Australian Ballet Company during her professional career.

Eliza Hickey
KWDA student 2013 – 2016
Northern ballet, leeds · corps de ballet
Eliza trained at KWDA during her formative years after relocating from Sydney and before dancing fulltime on the Gold Coast. Eliza completed RAD Ballet exams and joined the KWDA Performance Team and was a successful soloist. Eliza gained valuable training during her years at KWDA from age 7 to 11yrs and was awarded the "Robyn Bennett Ballet Award" at the concert 2015.

Jackie Radovanovic
Current KWDA student since 2018
THE AUSTRALIAN BALLET school · LEVEL 3
Jackie is a current KWDA student. Jackie started at age 3 and has received High Distinction for her RAD ballet exams from Primary to Intermediate Foundation. Jackie received the highest mark for the ComDance Grade 4 Jazz Exam in QLD in 2024. One of Jackie's notable wins has been of the RAD Jacqueline Morland Awards Grade 5 in 2026. Jackie's journey at KWDA continues as she prepares to compete at the World Ballet Crown, Youth America Grand Prix and the Alana Haines Awards.

Our Founding Director
Kimberley Bennett-Woodger has herself performed with The Bolshoi Ballet in Le Corsaire and American Ballet Theatre in Swan Lake — giving her the professional company insight she can pass to her students.
