Primary, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3 & Grade 4 students have completed their Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams for 2026. Held in our own studio (AEC), our examiner Ms Griffin, visited us for one day of exams. Well done to the professionalism and high standard of the students.

Our Performance Team members enjoyed a lovely afternoon, celebrating their achievements from the competition season. Of course, the trophies and results are exciting, but what makes us most proud is the hard work, dedication, teamwork and friendships we have seen grow throughout the season. Every dancer has contributed something special to our Performance Teams.

Grace also attended the Australian Ballet School National Tour and the Royal Academy of Dance Winter Intensive, making the most of every opportunity to learn, grow and be inspired. Her dedication, determination and genuine love of dance shine through in everything she does. We are so proud of Grace’s hard work and commitment to her training!

Matilda dances in the 7yrs Section and won both her Classical Solo and Demi Character Solo at the Born to Perform Redcliffe Eisteddfod. She also received 2nd Place in her Jazz solo. Congratulations Matilda, tiny dancer, massive effort!

Our 8&under Performance Team won first place in their Classical Group Section at the Born to Perform Redcliffe Eisteddfod. Complete against 12 other groups from local dance schools, our team won.

Grace, Jackie, Georgiana & Emily made us proud competing at in the BPAC Scholarships. Jackie & Gigi made it all the way to the finals of the Ballet scholarship. And Jackie was finalist in the Self Choreography and a semi finalist in the Contemporary section. Congratulations girls on your hard work leading up to the Challenge.

Gigi (10) and Jackie (11) have made the finals of the Emerald Division of the World Ballet Crown 2026. They were chosen from a Preliminary video round to take part at the Brisbane Workshops, and then selected from there as 30 finalists to perform and compete in Sydney in August. Good luck girls.

Huge congratulations to Jackie who has won the Grade 5 section of the Royal Academy of Dance "Jacqueline Morland Awards." Out of more than 40 candidates, Jackie was chosen as one of 8 finalist to perform her variation from the Grad 5 syllabus. Jackie was announced the Winner of the section and received the $500 cash prize.

KWDA is the featured dance school in the Australian DanceTrain Magazine. We are absolutely overwhelmed with exciting about this article!!

Gabby and Ava have passed their ComDance Jazz Teachers Exam. They are now professional teachers of the ComDance Jazz Syllabus!! Our very own girls have gone though the all the grades as students and have now become trained teachers! We have it all under one roof at KWDA.

Amy and Bronte both started their dancing journey at KWDA as toddlers, Now, they dance together on the stage of the Australian Ballet Company. Nothing makes us prouder than seeing them together.

Jackie has travelled to Sydney, the for 2nd time now to compete at the Youth America Grand Prix. At 10yrs old in the 9-11yr Pre-Competitive division, Jackie has been awarded Top 12 for her Classical Variation. Out of over 100 competitors in Sydney, Jackie dazzled the international panel of judges for the worlds best professional ballet schools.

KWDA had a wonderful night at the ballet, support their very own Bronte, graduate of the Australian Ballet School. So wonderful to see Bronte perform multiple main roles, including '2nd Shade' from La Bayadere and A Scottish Symphony.

KWDA Alumni, Amy, artist of The Australian Ballet Company, performed a soloist role in "The Sleeping Beauty." Amy performed as the "Fairy of Generosity" in their tour to Brisbane. Many KWDA students and alumni where in the audience to see her perform throughout the season.

Jessica, age 17, has completed her final exam of the Royal Academy of Dance. Advanced Two ballet is the final and most advanced exam of the syllabus. Jess received a Distinction for her exam! Incredible!

Congratulations to Katie & Lila who have finished their Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams. Katie (16) received High Distinction and Lila (17) received Distinction for their exam. Well done to these 2 home-grown KWDA girls.

Mia, age 12, has won the 12yrs & Under Classical Ballet Award at the Ipswich Eisteddfod 2025. Congratulations Mia on their fabulous achievement.

Piper, age 15, has been dancing at KWDA since she was 3. She is delighted to have received a scholarship for next season with her youth ballet company. Contgratulations Piper, we are so proud.

After winning their section at the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge, our 10&under Classical group has been invited to perform at the Winners Gala and compete for the Supreme Troupe Award. The Top 10 groups of the whole eisteddfod, across all genres and age groups, have been invited and we are honored to be apart of it. Our students dance onstage at the home of the Queensland ballet.

After travelling to Florida for the YAGP Finals, Australian magazine, DanceTrain, featured our ballerina Bronte about her time at the competition. Written by Katya, we are still on a high after this wonderful experience.

Huge congratulations to Lily who received a Distinction in her RAD Grade 3 ballet examination this term. Lily has been working incredibly hard in class and her dedication really showed. We're so proud of you!
