Performance Teams
For dancers with the passion, commitment and ambition to perform at their very best
Performance Teams provide dedicated dancers with the opportunity to extend their training through performances, competitions and exciting team experiences in a supportive environment.
Students compete at selected eisteddfods and events throughout the year, building confidence, resilience, teamwork and stage experience while refining their technique, artistry and performance quality.
Led by experienced industry professionals, our teams inspire dancers to achieve their personal best, develop lasting friendships and create unforgettable memories.

Prerequisites
There's nothing quite like being part of a team
To ensure every dancer is prepared for the commitment and expectations of our Performance Teams, students are required to:
- Demonstrate strong attendance, commitment and a positive attitude
- Be enrolled in the required weekly technique classes
- Attend all rehearsals, competitions and scheduled performances where possible
- Wear the correct KWDA uniform and maintain a professional presentation
- Show respect, teamwork, reliability and excellent studio etiquette
- Be willing to work hard, accept feedback and represent KWDA with pride on and off the stage

Each age group prepares routines in a variety of genres to compete in competitions. It is at the teachers' discretion as to who in the team participates in each routine. Not all dancers are part of every routine.

Our Soloists
Be extraordinary
Every solo is built around the dancer: their strengths, their personality, their stage. Teachers work one-on-one to create choreography that challenges each student while showcasing what makes them unique. Competition entry is guided by the teaching staff based on the dancer's readiness, and not every soloist enters every event.

Performance Teams and solo competition entries are by invitation. If your child is keen to take the next step, whether that's competing as part of a team or preparing their own solo, speak with their teacher. Invitations are based on readiness, commitment and attendance.
